Reg Athwal is the Chairman of RAW Group and the TAO-Inc Family Office, and the Founding Partner & MD of RTS Global Partners, the leading family business advisory firm in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia with a vision to grow to 1,000 team members in 22 countries, with offices across the region. Athwal has been a life-long entrepreneur, building his first business at age 17, faced bankruptcy at age 21, then bounced back to build a $20 million executive search and human capital research business by age 28.

To date, Athwal is the youngest elected past president ever of the Professional Speakers Association in the UK and is a World Certified Public Speaker in Family Business. He is currently retained as a Global Trusted Executive Advisor by many large family-owned businesses and first generation entrepreneurial enterprises throughout the Africa, Middle East and Asia (AMEA) region. To date, he has worked with 110 family businesses, from two members to 53 members, from the first to fifth generation.

His Unleash Your DNA brand and award-winning DNA profiling system, combined with his personal success stories, case studies, extensive research and best practices have been delivered to over three million people in 60 countries since 2002; including thousands of top students and members at Harvard Business School, Oxford University, Entrepreneurs Organization, Young Presidents Organization, University of Chicago, Hult International Business School, SP Jain Institute of Management, MIT College of Management, Indian School of Business, Cranfield University and many other leading business schools and universities.

Athwal is a best-selling author and has published hundreds of articles on “Family Business Matters.” His new book Unleash Your Family Business DNA was published after 15 years of research, evaluating family businesses who have lasted beyond the fifth generation. As a family board advisor he has personally facilitated over 1,800 board meetings to date.

Athwal has been a top-rated speaker for two decades. He attended the SME World Summit 2016 and won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award as an Established Company in UAE for Innovation, Governance, Outstanding Growth (800 percent in three years) and for his social impact. He resides in Dubai, UAE and London, UK, and is married with four children.

His future aspirations include the launch of family investment funds for next-generation entrepreneurs, working on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology products to serve more family business communities and disrupt the professional services industry using breakthrough robo technology advisory solutions. He is also working on several TV shows to feature family firms who have built lasting legacies. His life-time mission is to help as many family firms to build their legacies, whilst building his own.
