POS (publishing orientation and strategy session)
This two to three hour 1-2-1 session is designed to set down the parameters for your publishing strategy. It is best undertaken even before you’ve started writing, although it can also be very useful for those who have written a first draft. If you are clear about what you want your book to do for you and for your readers, you will not only create a better book, you are also much more likely to achieve your objectives. It can be conducted on Skype or face-to-face.

- Who do you need to influence – and how will you best reach them with your book?
- How will you write the book that your target audience most needs?
- When does your book need to be published and how can you structure the writing and publishing to meet that date?
- How is it best to publish the book – pitch your idea to a traditional publisher, self-publish alone or publish independently with help?

Light coaching
Over a period of 3-4 months, Sue or one of her associate coaches will support you as you write. You will send in your work in progress for monthly assessment, which will then be followed up with a phone call of up to one hour to go through your work and keep you on the right lines.

High-level editing
Initial intensive planning session. Three to four hours 1-2-1 putting together the bones of the book, either by Skype or face-to-face. From this session you will go away with a clear structure for your book, together with a realistic schedule for getting it written.
This is followed up and consolidated by:
- Support and guidance throughout the writing process
- Scheduling
- Coaching and holding accountable
- Reading as the writing progresses, giving honest feedback
- Suggestions for improvements in:
- structure
- content
- style
£2100 or £350 + VAT per month for 6 months,
renewable as appropriate on a monthly basis thereafter
Ghostwriting

Storage
There is a minimum monthly charge per title of £25 plus VAT per month for distribution, which includes storage of up to 500 books.

Distribution to the book trade
Books distributed to the trade (either wholesalers or retailers) by us return a royalty of 30% of the cover price to the author. The remaining 70% covers the trade discounts, plus our shipping and admin costs. Beyond the monthly subscription fee, there are no further costs to you for this service.
Amazon/Apple/Kobo ebook sales return a royalty of 60% to the authors for most territories (UK, US and Europe). Other platforms vary.

Books are mailed direct to customers from our dispatch office. We process any orders sent to us within 24 hours and ship out the next day. Please note that there might be variations depending on the size and weight of the package.

Create a marketing plan for your book
Building on the publishing orientation session this 2-3 hour workshop will show you how to effectively research and plan to increase your book sales and explore wider and more profitable ways to market your book. We will:
- Build a profile of your reader and explore where they hang out
- Get clear about how you will position your book in the marketplace
- Price your book and create a financial plan
- Understand how to sell books through the book trade (especially Amazon)
- Create a plan to promote your book – PR, the book launch, social media, the web and much more…
Following the session we will prepare a strategy document for you, which will include a sales planning tool and a marketing mindmap.

Getting your book noticed
Work with our marketing team to help your book reach the right readers and get sales. This can include, but is not exclusive to:
- Building a list of contacts relevant for the book
- Create a marketing campaign (i.e. social media campaign, email campaign)
- Researching relevant publications and contacting them to feature the book
- Sending advanced information (AI) sheets to journalists
- Setting up social media accounts (if the author doesn’t already have them)
- Contacting various organisations in order to stock the book at their location
